You may remember me saying a few weeks ago that Rolo, Clay and Soot were off to the butcher. We had difficulty in finding a butcher to slaughter them as butchers now have to have a separate licence to do goats and for some, it just isn’t worth their while. It has been one of those weeks this week, just throw in a visit from a journalist, a wake and funeral (neighbour) and a visit to a hospital to visit a friend and it seems to turn the week into turmoil, well, not quite but certainly busy!

It’s been a busy week here, we reached the half way mark with the calving during the week when 64 were born and we’re now up to 70. 2 calf houses are full and were overflowing this morning until Brian got a third shed ready.
