A Busy Week
It’s been a busy week, aside from editing the book, last week saw the launch of the Blog Awards which was hosted by Glenisk at their pop up shop in Dublin. The food was scrumptious and everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

The weather has been incredibly hot here in Ireland – no rain for 16 days is almost unheard of. Farmers on dry land (who have been the envy of the rest of us for many years) are finding that what grass they had is just burning off and most are feeding the first cut of silage (which shouldn’t have been touched until next winter) and meal to cows and perhaps silage or hay to the rest of the stock. ?The [...]
I’ve always wanted to write a book, but there often seemed to be something else to be completed first I have about 40,000 words of a novel in draft and maybe I’ll get back to it this winter. In the meantime, I have another project in mind. Yes, it happens to be a book but different to a fictional novel…….
I’m not the best at being organised – I’m very very rarely late collecting my kids, I get a dinner on the table at roughly the same time every day, I’m on time for most meetings but I hate being constrained by time.

Thinking about ?Christmases past, there’s one journey I’m not sorry we don’t have to make. I still miss our life in England occasionally but I’ll never miss that drive to the ferry in the winter months, that trip across the sea where I was always seasick and the early morning drive on frosty roads to home.
